For the Morbidly Curious ~ October Death & Afterlife Tarot In-a-Nutshell Reading ~ Ask the Grave Any 3 of 25 Questions ~ Your Own Death, Your Beloved Dead & What Waits Beyond ~ One Card Pulled Per Question ~ 3 Cards Total ~ One Photo of All Three Cards ~ Short Written Answers ~ 3–5 Sentences Each ~ Delivered by Email

October is the month the veil thins and the year turns into its dark half. The Libra New Moon on October 10 falls on Mahalaya, the last day of the Hindu fortnight for the ancestors, and on that same dark moon the old Athenians left Hekate’s Supper at the crossroads. On October 23 the Sun enters Scorpio, the sign of death, secrets, and rebirth. The Hunter’s Full Moon shines on October 25. Samhain on October 31 is the night the veil is said to be thinnest. Then come All Saints, All Souls, the Day of the Dead, and the Fèt Gede of Haitian Vodou on November 1 and 2, when Baron Samedi and the Gede are honored, spirits famous for their frank, bawdy jokes about death. If the Baron can laugh at the grave, you can at least ask it a few questions.

This is not a long reading. It is a nutshell reading.

You choose any 3 questions from the list below. I will pull one card for each question, for a total of three cards. Each card answers that one question. You will receive:

• one photo showing all three cards together

• a short written answer for each question ~ 3 to 5 sentences each

Both are delivered by email. No long report. No physical item shipped. Just the cards you can see, and the answers most people are too nervous to ask for.

Some of these questions are uncomfortable on purpose. This reading is for the morbidly curious, the ones who read the last page first and slow down at the cemetery gate to read the names. Ten questions look straight at your own death: the season, night or day, the manner, whether you go alone, whether you go content, and where your soul might turn up next. Others turn toward the dead you already love, the things in your life that need to die, and the bloodline that walks behind you. Beside each question is a brief note so you can see exactly what that question is for, and why that insight is valuable even if you have not named it yet.

What You Receive

• 3 chosen questions

• 1 card pulled per question

• 3 cards total

• 1 photo of all three cards together

• short written tarot insight for each question

• 3–5 sentences per question

What I Need From You

• Your name

• Your birthdate

• The 3 question numbers you want answered

• Any brief note if a question needs a name attached, such as a loved one or pet who has passed

• This reading is for adults 18 and older, and I do not read for or about minors

• The death questions are about your own life only; I do not read on anyone else’s death or health

How to Choose

Pick three. One question about your own death, one about someone you have lost, and one about what has to end in your life is a strong mix, but you may choose any three that call to you. If a question makes the back of your neck prickle, that is often the one.

25 October Questions

For the Morbidly Curious: My Own Death

1. In what season will my death come: falling leaves, deep snow, spring rain, or summer heat?

This shows the time of year your ending is drawn toward. Valuable if you have always felt a strange pull toward one season, or wondered why certain months feel heavier than others.

2. Will I cross over in daylight or in the dark, and what will I know in my final moments?

This looks at the light around your last hour and what your mind and heart hold as you go. Valuable if you have wondered whether the end is frightening or simply a door.

3. Will my death take me by surprise, or will there be signs that my time is drawing near?

This shows whether your ending is more likely to arrive suddenly or to give you warning. Valuable if you want to know whether to live with your affairs in order now, or trust that you will have time.

4. Will my death be gentle, or will I go down fighting?

This looks at whether your ending is drawn toward peace or struggle. Valuable if you have a quiet fear about how it will feel, and would rather look at it than keep it in the dark.

5. Will my body simply wear out with time, or will something from outside cut my story short?

This shows whether your path leans toward natural causes or an outside event. Valuable if you are drawn to risk, or if you have always had a feeling one way or the other.

6. Will I live to be truly old, past my eightieth birthday?

This looks at whether your path stretches into a long old age. Valuable if you are deciding how to spend your years, or wondering whether to plan for a long road.

7. When my time comes, will I be surrounded by people I love, or will I cross alone?

This shows who is likely to be near you at the end. Valuable if being alone is a fear you have never said out loud, or if you want to know whose hands you may be holding.

8. Will I leave this world content, or carrying regret?

This looks at how your soul is likely to feel as it lets go. Valuable if you want to know now what to mend, finish, or say, while you still can.

9. Could I linger as a restless spirit, and what would keep me tied here?

This shows whether anything in your life is strong enough to hold your spirit back after death, such as an unfinished love, a house, or a grudge. Valuable if you have ever wondered whether you will be the ghost in someone else’s story.

10. When my soul comes back, where in the world will I be born again, and as whom?

This looks at the place, the people, and the kind of life your soul may choose next. Valuable if certain countries, languages, or eras have always felt like home without any reason.

The Death Card in My Life

11. What in my life is already dead, and why am I still feeding it?

This names the job, hope, habit, or story you keep giving energy to after its heart has stopped. Valuable if you feel drained and cannot see where it is all going.

12. What relationship has already died, even though we both keep showing up?

This shows the bond that is going through the motions. Valuable if a love, friendship, or partnership feels hollow and you keep hoping it will wake up.

13. Who is still alive but feels dead to me, and what does that tell me?

This looks at the person you have quietly buried while they still walk around. Valuable if you grieve someone you still see, or feel guilty for no longer feeling anything for them.

14. What version of me has to die before I can truly live?

This names the old self that has run its course. Valuable if you feel too big for your old life but keep crawling back into it.

Messages From the Other Side

15. What does my loved one who has passed want me to know, even if it is hard to hear?

This shows the message that has been waiting for a quiet moment to reach you, soft or not. Valuable if you keep thinking of them, dreaming of them, or feeling that something was left unsaid.

16. What sign does my loved one send me, and where am I most likely to notice it?

This names the kind of sign that belongs to them, such as a song, a bird, a smell, a number, or a dream. Valuable if you have wondered whether that feeling was really them.

17. What do they forgive me for, and what are they still waiting for me to forgive?

This opens the door on forgiveness in both directions. Valuable if there was a hard word, a missed visit, or an old wound between you when they crossed.

18. What does my pet who has crossed over want me to know?

This gives a voice to the animal who loved you without words. Valuable if you wonder whether they knew how much they were loved, or whether you made the right choices at the end.

Grief & What Still Lingers

19. What goodbye did I never get to say, and how can I say it now?

This names the farewell that is still waiting. Valuable if you missed the last call, the last visit, or the last chance to say what mattered.

20. What guilt am I carrying about a death that was never mine to carry?

This separates what was yours from what never was. Valuable if you keep replaying the “what ifs” and “if only I had” long after the funeral.

21. Whose energy still haunts my home or an object I cannot let go of?

This looks at a house, a room, a chair, a ring, or a box of letters that still holds someone. Valuable if a place or thing feels heavy, warm, or alive with a person who is gone.

Ancestors & Bloodline

22. Which ancestor is drawing closest to me as Samhain nears, and what do they want?

This shows who is standing nearest to you this season and what they are asking. Valuable if you feel a pull toward family history, an old photo, or a name you never knew well.

23. What family pattern is meant to die with me?

This names the habit, wound, or silence handed down the line that stops here. Valuable if you see the same story playing out in your parents, your grandparents, and yourself.

Past Lives & What Comes After

24. What waits for my soul on the other side, and who will be there to meet me?

This gives a glimpse of the place your spirit is drawn toward and the guide, loved one, or presence who greets you. Valuable if you have always wondered what lies past the veil for someone like you.

25. What past-life bond or wound is rising to the surface this Scorpio season?

Scorpio season stirs what is buried, and this looks at an old lesson, love, or hurt that has followed you here. Valuable if you have fears, attachments, or pulls toward places that make no sense in this life.

A Note on This Reading

Three questions. Three cards. One photo of the three cards together. Three short written answers. October does not flinch from the grave, and neither does this reading. Choose the questions that make you pause. Those are usually the ones that already know your name.
