Twelve months from now, the leaves will fall again. Where will you be standing when they do?

This is not a long reading. It is a nutshell reading.

I pull one card for one question: Where will I be in life this time next year? The card answers that question, and nothing else.

Why This Question Is Worth Asking

It is hard to make good choices when you cannot see where the road leads. This question offers a glimpse of where your current path is taking you one year from now. Valuable if you are at a turning point, feel stuck, or want to know whether your hard work is leading somewhere.

What It Can Uncover

• The overall direction of your life over the next year
• The area of life most likely to change
• Whether you are on track or need to adjust course
• The kind of person you are becoming

How It Can Help You

• Direction. See where your current path is leading.
• Motivation. Keep going when you know the effort is worth it.
• Better planning. Make choices with the bigger picture in mind.
• A birthday or New Year tradition. Many people enjoy asking this once a year and looking back on it later.
• A surprising benefit. Seeing a glimpse of your future self can make today's choices easier and kinder.

A Little Psychology

Research by psychologist Hal Hershfield found that people who feel more connected to their "future self" tend to make wiser choices today, from saving money to caring for their health. This reading helps you meet that future self.
